Jacob Van Ruiswyk, 63, Rt. 3, Waupun, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1982, at University Hospital, Madison.
The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at Emmanuel Reformed Church. Kohls Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The Rev. George Chermak officiated. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.
Mr. Van Ruiswyk was born May 9, 1919 in the town of Trenton, Dodge County, the son of Henry and Jessie Riel. He was married to Velma Beekman Oct. 4, 1944 in Waupun.
He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, served as both Deacon and Elder and was a Bible class reacher. He farmed in the Waupun area his entire married life.
Survivors include his widow; four children, Harvey, Waupun; Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Parnham, Wausau; Beth Van Ruiswyk, Waupun; Jerome, Madison; six grandchildren; two brothers, James and William, both of Waupun; one sister, Mrs. Gordon (Elizabeth) Bille, Waupun.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Mrs. Jacob (Velma J.) Van Ruiswyk, 61, of Route 3, Waupun, died March 21, 1984, at St. Agnes Hospital.
She was born Sept. 22, 1922, in the Town of Waupun, to the late Herman and Tina Harmsen Beekman. She was married to Jacob Van Ruiswyk on Oct. 4, 1944, at Waupun.
The couple farmed in the Waupun area until his death in 1982, when she retired.
Survivors include two sons; Harvey of Waupun and Jerome of Madison; two daughters, Linda Parnham of Oshkosh and Beth Van Ruiswyk of Waupun; six grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Beekman of Waupun. A sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Friday at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun, where she was a member. The Rev. Elton Van Pernis officated and burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.
