Elsie E. Lont, 52, 200 Mill St., Waupun died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Mrs. Lont was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Waupun, the daughter of Marvin ans Maggie (Boerson) Damsteegt. She married James H. Lont April 19, 1968 in Alto. The couple lived in Waupun all their married life. She worked at East Central Breeders, the Christian Home and was a devpted mother.
She was a former member of Alto Refprmed Church in Alto where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and was a choir member. She later joined the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun, where she continued to be active in its Guild, Sunday School and was a Junior Christian Endeavor leader.
Survivors include her husband, James, Waupun; three sons, Philip, Timothy (Tami) and Nathan, all of Waupun; two daughters, Sarah and Mary Ellen, both of Waupun; one step-granddaughter; her parents, Marvin and Maggie Damsteegt, Waupun; one sister Bonnie (Raymond) Freriks, Waupun; four brothers, Milan (Mary) Damsteegt, Brandon, Norris Damsteegt, Eugene (Sharon) Damsteegt and David (Lori) Damsteegt, all of Waupun.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Reformed Church, the Rev. Robert Hekhuis officiating. Burial followed at Alto Cemetery, Alto, Wis. Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun, and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
