He was born June 09, 1886 in the town of Alto, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, and died December 14, 1961 at the Waupun Memorial Hospital, Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin. Mrs. Anthony Loomans Died Suddenly Tuesday; Services to Be Friday Mrs. Anthony S. Loomans, 58, died suddenly at 8 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's hospital. Mrs. Loomans had undergone a major operation a week earlier, but was believed to be recovering when she suffered a heart attack. Mrs. Loomans, the former Jennie Van Buren, was born Oct. 23, 1889, in the town of Waupun. She was married to Mr. Loomans on June 19, 1916, and the couple resided on a farm in the town of Alto until moving to Waupun eight years ago. Survivors include the widower, one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Kloostra, one son, Alfred; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. E. J. Gerritsen, Mrs. Henry Hopp, and Mrs. Henry Frens; and four brothers, Albert, Ebert, Jacob and Gerrit, all of Waupun and vicinity. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Beyers Funeral home and at 2 p.m. in First Reformed church. The Rev. Anthony Van Harn will officiate and burial will be in the Alto cemetery. |

Anthony S. Loomans Dies After Short Illness; Burial in Alto on Monday Funeral services for Anthony S. Loomans, 75, 136 North Watertown street, were held Monday at the Beyers Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. and at the First Reformed Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. William Roseberg conducted the service. Burial was in Alto Cemetery. Mr. Loomans died at Waupun Memorial hospital Thursday evening, Dec. 14. He was taken to the hospital Dec. 13. He was born June 9, 1886 in the Town of Alto. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Loomans. On June 7, 1916 Mr. Loomans married Jennie Van Buren. She died Nov. 4, 1947. Then Mr. Loomans married Cora Ulferts. Mr. Loomans farmed in the vicinity of Alto for many years, retiring in 1939 when he moved to Waupun. He was a resident of Waupun until his death. Survivors include his wife, a son Alfred, who lives in the Town of Alto; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Kloostra; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. |
