The Leader News-Tues. & Wed., March 4&5, 1980 John Maloney, 61, 515 W. State Street, Fox Lake died Friday, Feb. 29, 1980 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fox Lake. The Rev. Cyril A. Livington will officate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Trenton. He was born April 30, 1918, in Madison, a son of Edward and Elsie Westover Maloney. He was married to Marilyn Gest, Sept. 2, 1961, in Madison. He was a vocational teacher at Central State Hospital, Waupun until retiring due to ill health. He was a close and dear friend of Robert Guenther Post 521 American Legion. Survivors include his widow: mother: two daughters, Sharon Brandt, Marshall; Kay Snyder, Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Kelvin, Sun Praire and George, Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Norbert Bongard and Mrs. Walter Croft, both of Madison; one brother, Jim; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. Visitation will be held at Kratz Funeral Home, Fox Lake, from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 5. A Parish vigil will be held at 6:30 p.m. The family would appreciate memorials to the American Cancer Society.
