A lifelong area resident, John W. Vant Hoff, 78, was buried from the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Nov. 6.
Rev. Abraham Rynbrandt conducted the services. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery.
Mr. Vant Hoff, who lived at 320 Fond du Lac street, died at Waupun Memorial hospital early Nov. 4.
He was born Feb. 18, 1886 in Alto, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Winnerd Vant Hoff. He married Myda Hopp, Sept. 27, 1911. Mrs. Vant Hoff died April 3, 1956.
Mr. Vant Hoff farmed in the Waupun vicnity all his life until retiring in 1941. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church.
Survivors include two daughters-Mrs. Gerrit Veenhuis and Mrs. Ewald Zurbuchem, both of Waupun; a brother, Herbert, Waupun; four sisters - Mrs. Hattie Mouw, Alto; and Mrs. Cornelius Loomans, Mrs. Dick Van Veen and Mrs. Henry Westhuis, all of Waupun; 2 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter; two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services for Mrs. John W. Vant Hoff, who died suddenly Tuesday April 3, were held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Reformed church.
The Rev. William Rosenberg officiated and vocal selections were sung by Klass Beekman, and by Mrs. Cornelius Flier and Miss Joan Vande Zande.
Pallbearers were Walter Van Veen, Kewaskum, Marvin Vant Hoff, Friesland, Winnerd Vant Hoff, Warren Mouw, Herman Hopp, and Bert Hopp.
Among those from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kloostra and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Vant Hoff, Friesland, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Van Veen, Kewaskum, and Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Zurbuchen, and Mr. and Mrs. John Zurbuchen, Fox Lake.

Mary Alyce Van't Hof, 11-years-old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Van't Hof, who reside on Waupun route 4, passed away Wednesday at St. Agnes hospital following an appendicits operation. She was the granddaughter of Winnert Van't Hof, 81, who passed away early Saturday morning at the home of his son, Albert.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 o'clock from the home and at 2 o'clock from the First Reformed church of Waupun, the Rev. J.S. Ter Louw officiating. Burial will be at Forest Mound Cemetery.
Pall bearers are to be classmates of Mary Alyce. They will be Wilbert and Walter Pluim, Gordon Ter Beest, Wesly Westhuis, Bert and Henry Hopp.
Mary Alyce was born Oct. 2, 1930. Surviving her are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Van't Hof, and two sisters, Josephine and Florence.
Catechism classes at the First Reformed church will not meet Saturday afternoon due to the funeral services at that time.
