Kurtis Lee Meenk was born April 17, 1947 in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, and died February 22, 1991 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.  He married Cheryl Lee Vande Zande PRIVATE .  She was born PRIVATE. The Leader News-March 13, 1991: Kurtis L. Meenk, 43, of 3095 Sauk Trail, Brookfield, Wis., died Feb. 22, 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. Meenk was born April 17, 1947, in Fond du Lac County, the son of Marvin R. and Dorothy (Vant Hoff) Meenk. He married Cherly Vande Zande. He graduated from Waupun High School in 1965. He was also a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering, and Received his Master Degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee. He was employed by the University of Wisconsin and was self-employed as a Consulting Engineer. He was a member of Brookfield Christian Reformed Church, Brookfield, where he served as choir director for many years. Survivors include his wife, Cherly; children, Cari, Peter, Amanada and Stephen, all of Brookfield; his mother, Dorothy Meenk, Waupun; one sister, Betty (Harlan) Vande Slunt, Fond du Lac. He was the son-in-law of Milton and Pearl Vande Zande, Fond du Lac, and brother-in-law of Lee and Mary Schoenfeld, Fox Lake. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin R. Meenk on Feb, 20, 1985. A memorial service was held on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. at Brookfield Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. John Bylsma officiating. Burial was at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wis.
