Services Held Monday for Lambert L. Peters, Who Died on Thursday Lambert L. Peters, 63, died Thursday afternoon in the Swartz hospital, following a three months illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the First Reformed church, with the Rev. Anthony Van Harn officiating. Vocal selections were sung by a male quartet. Burial was made in Forest Mound cemetery. Pallbearers were John Prange, George Gysbers, George Landaal, Adolph Neevel, Ben Kastein, and Cornelius Buteyn. Mr. Peters was born Oct. 31, 1886, in The Netherlands, and came to Wisconsin with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lambert Perts, sr., when eight years old. He was married to Miss Tena Ruesink on Sept. 22, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Peters resided on farms in the vicinity of Waupun for 25 years, moving to Waupun in 1935. In 1930 he opened a retail coal business at East Waupun, moving it to Waupun in 1934. He was a member of the First Reformed church of Waupun. Survivors include the widow, one son, Clarence, Waupun; one daughter, Mrs. John M. Landaal, Racine; five grandchildren; and four brothers, Arthur, Waupun, Henry, Fond du Lac, Gerrit, Twin Falls, Idaho; and Guy, Hollister, Idaho. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Among the out of town persons attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. John Bunkelman, Mrs. Minnie Bunkelman, and Mrs. Lee Sasman, all of Seymour: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bunkelman, Sheboygan, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peters, Fond du Lac. |

Set Thursday Funeral for Mrs. L. Peters Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, June 23, for Mrs. Lambert Peters, a lifelong resident of Waupun.Mrs. Peters died Monday evening, June 20, in the Waupun Christian Home for the aged. The former Tena Ruesink was born June 17, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ruesink, Waupun. In September of 1909 she was married to Lambert Peters who died Dec. 1, 1949. Survivors include one son, Clarence, Waupun; one daughter, Mrs. John Landaal, Racine; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alyda Ten Hoope, Waupun; and one brother, John Ruesink, Waupun. She was a member of the First Reformed church and its Mission Society and Altruist class. Visitations began after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Beyers Funeral home. The Rev. Frederic Dolfin will officiate at the 2 p.m. services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Mound cemetery. |
