The Waupun Leader News-June 13, 1998: Jeanette Van Buren, 71, of N117777 County Truck MM, Waupun, died Friday June 5, 1998, at the Waupun Memorial Hospital. The funeral was Monday, June 8, at 1 p.m. at the First Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Rick Boon officiated. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Van Buren was born May 26, 1927, in Arpin, Wis., daughter of John and Lucy (Van Stedium) Tjepkema. She was married to Lester Van Buren. She lived in Waupun all of her married life, was an active member of the First Reformed Church, Waupun and its Women's Guild and of the Bible League. Survivors include her husband, Lester of Waupun; four sons, James (Marcia) Van Buren, Larry (Christine) Van Buren, Mark (Dawn) Van Buren, Kevin (Linda) Van Buren, all of Waupun; one daughter, Betty (Bruce) Zellner of Waupun; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Jerry (Jeanette) Tjepkema of Waupun and two sisters, Alice (Herman) Aalsma of Waupun, and Carol (Maurice) De Groot of Rosendale, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother. Friends called on Sunday, June 7, at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Monday, June 8, at the church.
