The Waupun Leader News-April 20, 1961: Marvin James Vant Hoff, 35, Friesland, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Vant Hoff, Route 2, Waupun, died Friday at 6:15 p.m. following a heart attack. He had not been ill previosly. Mr. Vant Hoff was born April 26, 1925, in the town of Ato. He was married Sept. 30, 1948, to Tillie Kloostra. Mr. and Mrs. Vant Hoff resided in Waupun for a year and a half, and then moved to Friesland area, where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the First Reformed church in Friesland. He is survived by his wife; three children, Kenneth Marvin, 11; Jerry Lee, 8; and Donna Jean, 4; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Vant Hoff; two brothers, Ellsworth, Waupun, and Howard, Randolph; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Te Beest, town of Alto, Mrs. Joe Sjoerdsma and Mrs. Ed Kloostra, Waupun; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Thomas Funeral home in Cambria, at 2 p.m. in the First Reformed church, Friesland.
