The Neighbors-August 5, 2000: MILWAUKEE - Wayne D. Pobanz, 62, of Milwaukee, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospice, Milwaukee. The funeral was held on Friday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m., at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. Doris Hanson officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison. Mr. Pobanz was born on Nov. 23, 1937, in Waupun, the son of Arnold and Marjorie (Carpenter) Pobanz. He was married in 1970, to Lei Lani Burrows. Mr. Pobanz served in the U.S. Navy. The couple lived in the Milwaukee area since 1970. He was employed by Miller Brewing Co., as a security officer for many years. Survivors include his wife, of Milwaukee; one son, Keith (Carrie) Pobanz, Brandon; four grandchildren, Hailey , Dylan and Genna Pobanz and Shelby Gantner; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Nancy Burrow, New Berlin and faithful companion, Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends called on Friday, Aug. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun.
