He was born June 23, 1892 Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin, and died September 25 1980 at Hillside Community Hospital, Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin. Minnie "A.C." Vande Zande, 411 W. Jefferson St., Waupun, died Sunday, May 9, 1982 at her home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the First Reformed Church in Waupun. Burial will be in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. Mrs. Vande Zande was born on Sept. 14, 1893 in the Town of Alto, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob vant Hoff. She was married to Albert C. Vande Zande on Sept. 20, 1916 in the Town of Alto. The couple farmed in the Waupun and Alto area until retiring in 1954 when they moved to Waupun. She was a member of the First Reformed Church, Waupun. Survivors include two sons, Earl Vande Zande, Waupun; Donald Vande Zande, Waupun; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Henken, Waupun; Elizabeth Loomans, Alto. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980 and three brothers. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and at the church on Wednesday from noon until the hour of the service. |

Albert C. Vande Zande, 88, 411 W. Jefferson St., died Thursday evening, Sept. 25, 1980, at Hillside Community Hospital, Beaver Dam. He was born June 23, 1892, in the Town of Trenton, a son of the late Edward and Cynthia Vande Berg Vande Zande. He was married to Minnie Vant Hoff in the Town of Alto Sept. 20, 1916. The couple farmed until retiring in 1954 and moved to Waupun, where Mr. Vande Zande was employed part time at Canned Foods. He was a member of First Reformed Church where he served as elder and deacon. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Earl and Donald, both of Waupun; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Lemmenes and Mrs. Henry (Christina) Vermeer, both of Waupun, and Mrs. Henry (Annice) Homan, Fox Lake. A brother and sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Arnold Dykhuizen officiated. Burial followed in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. Visitation for Mr. Vande Zande was held from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and at the church from noon Monday until the time of services. |
