Funeral services for Mrs. Clara M. Robbins, 86, formerly of Waupun were held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun. The Rev. George Woldseth officiated. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. Visitation for Mrs. Robbins was held from 4 p.m. Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. She died Friday April 6, 1979 at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau, where she had been a resident since 1971. Mrs. Robbins was born Oct. 8, 1892, in Waupun, a daughter of August and Margaret Helmer Pobanz. On July 10, 1912, she was married to Walter R. Robbins. She resided in Waupun all of her married life and was a practical nurse in the Waupun, Beaver Dam area for over 30 years. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the Women's Fellowhip Society of Union Congregational Church, Waupun and an active church member. Survivors include two sons, Robert J., Fall River, and Russel J., West Bend; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a brother, Alfred Pobanz, Waupun. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and three brothers. |

Walter Robbins Died in California Sept. 2 News of the death of Walter R. Robbins, former resident, in Los Angeles on Sept 2, has been received by Waupun residents. Serivces were held at Garden Chapel, Inglewood Memorial park, Los Angeles. Mr. Robbins is survived by two sons, Russell, Waupun, and Robert, and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Kawk and Mrs. Belle Lambert, both of Los Angeles. |
