Funeral services for Otto Pobanz, 82, will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, at 2 p.m. June 24. Rev. Kenneth Kohl, pastor, will conducted the service. Burial will be in Forest Mound Cemetery. Mr. Pobanz died suddenly at his home, 120 North Divison, of a heart attack June 21. He was born Jan. 9, 1883 in Waupun, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Pobanz. He married the former Laura Thalacker July 2, 1908 in Waupun. Mr. Pobanz worked for National Rivert for Many years until his retirement in 1955. He is survived by a son, Arnold, Princeton; a sister, Mrs. Clara Robbins, Waupun; one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother Alfred, Waupun. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, and a brother. The body will be in state at Kohls Company Funeral Home tonight (Wednesday) and until 12 noon June 24 when it will be taken to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. It will be in state there until the hour of the service.
Funeral services for Otto Pobanz, a resident of Waupun for more than 50 years, were held Monday afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Kenneth Kohl conducted the service. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery. Mrs. Pobanz, 120 North Divison, died Jan. 18 at Waupun Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for about a week. Mrs. Pobanz was born Nov. 27, 1888 in Packwaukee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Thalacker. She married Otto Pobanz in July, 1909, in Waupun. The couple lived in Waupun all their married life. Mrs. Pobanz was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the societies of the church. Survivors include her husband, a son, Arnold, Waupun; a sister, Mrs. Emma Cardo, Waukesha; three brothers-Walter, Milwaukee, and Ernest and August, Westfield; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. The Kohls Company Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Miss Eleanor Pobanz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Pobanz, died at her home Monday morning after having been ill several months. She was 20 years of age on Jan. 18, and was studying to be a nurse in one of the Milwaukee Hospital. She was confined to the hospital for nine weeks and two weeks ago she was brought to her home in Waupun. Besides her parents, she leaves one brother, Arnold. Funeral serives will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday from the home and at 2 o'clock from Immanuel Lutheran Church.
