E’ stato prodotto in una serie limitata e numerata a solo 10.000 esemplari in tutto il mondo, e tra i collezionisti è subito scattata la caccia al reperimento del Pavone, soprattutto tra chi aveva già l’Aquila. Così anche il suo valore è lievitato immediatamente a parecchie volte il suo prezzo iniziale. E’ stato il primo esperimento di vendita del pezzo a sorteggio, ideato dalla Swarovski per cercare di evitare la grande confusione ed i grandi imbrogli scaturiti tre anni prima con l’avvento dell’Aquila. Ogni pezzo è numerato direttamente sul cristallo. La testa, le gambe ed il rivestimento che copre parte del collo sono in argento. Anche la confezione del pavone è adatta all’importanza del pezzo : un bellissimo bauletto rigido, dotato di serratura e doppie chiavi, all’interno del quale trova riparo lo splendido esemplare Swarovski, accompagnato con un quadro in radica di noce che ne certifica il numero e l’originalità del pezzo, oltre a dei comodi guanti per poterlo manovrare, ed un libretto con la sua storia.
