      DANCES DESCRIPTION
PRYVITANNA
“Pryvit” -  is the Ukrainian word for ‘welcomeÂ’. The dancers, true to the ancient Ukrainian tradition, welcome the audience with bread and salt, symbols of the warmth of its people and the richness and fertility of the Ukrainian soil.
PODOLIANKA
Dances of the Podillia region differ from most dances of Western Ukraine. This region has a mild climate and fertile soil. Not secluded like the others, and lots of room to move, the dancers take large striding steps, included with intricate stamping combinations. Dances are typically moderately paced. Dance "Podolianka" are from this region.
VOLOSHKA
This dance, is vigorous and energetic with a lively fast tempo. To capture the energy of the region the steps are quick and very varied. The dance features a lot of fast footwork are often bouncy to suit the lively rhythm. This folk dance captures the unique and elegant style customary to this region.
ARKAN
Arkan is an old Ukrainian folk dance, which serves a temperament, beauty, original features of Ukrainian folklore. The specific characters of it are quick changes of movings and various dance rhytm. All the time the performers are situated in a circle.
PIVTORAK
This dance depicts the wild spirit of the Carpathian Mountain folk. Isolated from the rest of Ukraine, the Hutsuly were protected from outside influences by the natural mountain barrier. This isolation was significant in preserving the Hutsul dance style, which is completely different to any other region in Ukraine. The dance features no solos, but rather very fast, small and varied footwork. Many of the dance formations are geometric, symbolising the mountainous region.
CYFROVANYJ
A contemporary Ukrainian dance from the Transcarpathian region. This dance reflects the beauty, unique music and costumes, which characterize the Transcarpathian people.
HOLUBKA
Holubka is the Ukrainian word which means “pigeon”. Girls are moving proudly and gracefully as this bird, it is very attractive for boys. All the dance the performers sing songs, dance, trying to excel each other.
HOPAK
Hopak is the most famous, and wellknown dance in the Ukrainian culture. You can expect to see a Hopak at every Ukrainian dance concert attended. The acrobatic solos of the male dancers are beautifully contrasted with the spins and grace of the females.

Oleksy Bobkiv is the artistic leader of the ensemble.

Petro Rachynsky - for many years the conductor of the Ensemble orchestra.
BALLETMASTER
Andriy Kijakh is the balletmaster of the ensemble.

Andriy Sydor is the director of the ensemble.
