The
US M17 series gasmask is one of the most common masks and in the US service
for many years. The mask got most attention during the Gulf war where the
US soldiers were often seen training in NBC defense.
It is a most fascinating mask. The design was quite different than all other masks. The filters were built inside the mask. That makes changing filters a very difficult job.
But the look is so cool and weird that the mask is one
of my favourites.
