Not always, though...when embossing
I choose to go to my stamping desk. Some of my favorite techniques is "cooking up cards".... in the frying pan with UTEE! I also love working with cd's, as you will see! Enjoy!
our stamp club we decided that everyone had bought images with great intentions but after one or two cards, we were at a loss as to how else we could use the stamp. So we all stamped enough of our images to give each person in the club one to take home and make something with it....then bring it back to the person who gave it to you. We all ended up with about 12-14 stamped items, using the same image but in a different way!
I got the Sun stamped onto glossy card stock. It just shouted "COLOR ME!" I used permanent Marvey Markers, but knew it needed more....so I called on Amy..Amy's Gold Leaf, that is. by the time I finished, I thought well, this is too flashy for just a card. It should be seen and used regulary. That's when I came up with the journal idea. I was pleased with the results and so was the lady that got it back!
Unfortunatly, the scanner lets in a little light (as you will notice some shadowing on other cards) that have embellishments on them. I usually place embellishments on that have depth to them. I like for them to stand out and be noticed...they are "embellishments", afterall!
So what if it costs me 50 cents more to mail it...It's always a
"REAL EYEOPENER"! And that's what makes your card
UNIQUE, and not just another Hallmark!
