My favorite are Penny-Arcade, Sinfest, 8-bit theater, and Player vs Player. www.discountanimedvd.com Most geeks take a liking to anime. This site you can get import anime DVDs for dirt cheap. Most of the DVDs don't have english dubbing. If you're hardcore anime freak though, you only watch it subbed. If you are, this is the place to go. DVDs usally run about 15$ - and you can get whole series for less than 60$ often enough. |

If I have asked you if I can use you as the geek of the week, had nominations for you, or taken pictures of you for the geek of the week, it doesn't mean that you will be geek of the week. There are lots of geeks and lots of weeks, so be patient. Do not ask people to nominate you - that's just cheap (I mean, you can always be like, "Geeze, I wish someone would nominate me to be geek of the week <sigh>" in front of your friends, but don't ask them). Geeks don't cry over not being a geek of the week, they cry when: another recent girl broke their heart; their D&D character just got killed by a giant worm and they only needed 300 more experience points to be level 7; they fell backwards again because they put one too many books in their backpack; their harddrive crashed; Calculus II was full at chabot and they couldn't take it during the summer, etc... | 2/14/03 So it looks like this webpage has indeed become dead. By dead I mean that it hasn't be updated in about half a year or so...unless you count this update. After high school ended for me and others, all the geeks I knew well disbursed, leaving me alone, hopeless, and without the ability to take their pictures. Mind you also that I haven't checked that geeksoftheweek hotmail account in forever and a day (I'm pretty sure its not active anymore). Juggling around school and job have made it hard to do much of anything. Maybe one day I will find the courage to take on the geeksoftheweek project once again, to pay homage to those who freshen our lives with their geekiness. Remember - Geek On! |
