We never know quite who we are

We never know quite who we are;
which is good, for if we did,
no longer would we be bizarre,
and that is what we should forbid.

Forbid the planned and the mundane,
forbid the search for soul and heart,
forbid them for they are insane,
and in this life should have no part.

Lets wander in this life amazed,
lets not ask why or how or who,
lets just be curious and crazed,
lets give this life its rightful due.

We never quite know who we are;
and I am glad, lets let it be,
lets wander by a wandering star,
lets look around eternally.
