Hec Hogan - 1957

  • Australia/Queensland & Victoria

    Hec Hogan first came to attention in 1952 when he won the National 100y title, defeating Empire Games Champion John Treloar, in controversial circumstances.

    Hogan was accused of beating the gun, but showed over the next five years that he was one of the world's fastest men.  

    In 1954, Hogan set a World Record for 100y and, in 1956, he won an Olympic Bronze Medal in the 100m.
