Happiness and joy
is not some delicious candy
or a toy.
It is neither wealth
of friends and family,
money, fame, or health.
It is peace in receiving God's love;
and, only there, is it obtained
through the washing in Christ's blood.
Let Jesus abide in your heart today;
so that, in all eternity,
with God the Father you may stay.
Joy and happiness
is a promise that's sure,
when you find others to bless;
but, first, at His own request,
receive the life of Jesus, poured out in place of yours,
that by His death and resurrection, you may first be blessed!
