Give me my Teddy Bear, my Pink Leopard and my Angel
And I will get well soon
Give me my mended heart pillow and I'll hug it, too.
Give me courage and strength to cope with each day
Whatever befalls, strength or setbacks along the way.
Shower me with blessings like a fountain
Help me to trek slowly over mountains,
Give me faith, hope and charity
Let me see things clearly and be tolerant
Give me patience to listen and learn
Close my ears to babbling obscenities
Open my heart to love and kindness
Close my mouth to any negatives,
Open my mind to absorb the goodness
Like a sponge drawing up the moisture
Or a candle wick sucking out infection.
Fill me with grace and let me pray
To thank the good Lord every day.
Let me feel the Angel lift me
Turn me over when I can't.
Give me family, friends and foresight,
Let me be there for them when needed.
Let me inhale the fragrance
Of each beautiful flower
Sprinkled with morning dew
Let me taste of honey and lemons
Let this stream spurt life anew.
And the jet will wash away sorrow
Pain, loneliness and ailments
Touching other's with tenderness
A spring of compliant contentment.
