If tears had wings, they’d never fall
Nor would they hear a sad hearts call
They’d glide above the darkest skies
Where waterfalls don’t pour from eyes
Into the heavens, each tear would soar
To find a place of pain no more
Where blue is blue not to the eye
And white is wings when angels fly
Beyond the place of space and time
Into horizons where shadows climb
To float amidst the pinks and gold
Where life began from days of old
Swirled into a glittered mass
Twinkling particles shine like glass
Forming bridges before no light
Each teardrop honored with this sight
They’d journey to the clearest pool
To wash upon green emerald jewels
And when the water turned to sea
All would bow on bended knees
If tears could fly we’d never cry
A heartaches pain, would pass us by
July would face the artic cold
Wrinkles earned, would not grow old
