He is a large Amphibious animal, Massive and colossal. He penetrates the Earth on the whole Sole of his feet. He owns the waters When he visits the creek. Our Native Americans Watch his power and strength And fortitude. His knowledge of surviving The wilderness and plains Lends wisdom to the tribal men. A loner, they learn from him. After the native ones See him face to face, It determines the path through the wilderness, Alone, they must take. This guardian of the river, Connects them to the Spiritual world. He’s massive, impressive. He’s the strength giver. He’s The Guardian, The Bear.
