Strong Elm trees underneath we shade
Bask in their umbra of beauty
Entwined in love and promises made
Shadowed from the world to see
But thou, do share these feelings with me
Not wanting so many yet to know
Until they grow everlasting in ecstasy
As Ebro River’s water does flow
But now some changes are necessary
Before our love can mature in bloom
With unequal yokes of burden we carry
Makes days ahead all filled with gloom
Prejudices and judgments need to cease
A change of heart will then bring peace.
