When rivers flow, as rivers should, from mountains to the sea. They tell their tales of life and times and how things are to be. I sit in wonder at the sound, it carries me along, And spins the stories of the past in verses and in song. Do you hear the singing now? Listen, it will come. It will take you far from here, away from hearth and home. The universe, all life you’ll see, hear Jupiter and Mars.. You’ll find your place among them, hung Up there above the stars. All troubles cease, all cares dissolve and quiet fills your soul And water cleanses you again and makes your spirit whole. Dear river, talk to me again, and sing your tranquil song.. I’ll listen, and I’ll heed you well, you would not lead me wrong. Remember, at the river’s side you can be made whole. The river has the wisdom and the song to soothe your soul.
