To all you precious returnees, We are starting the second book this week. It will take a bit to get done and it will be titled "Memories of Lake Webster". To follow suit with the first book entitled "Memories of Lake Tippicanoe" (see photo below). We are hoping to do all the lakes in this area and that itself being a major undertaking. I am thrilled to be a part of it all. Just the opportunity is exciting To imagine even for a second of what it was like back when, the fashion, the times, the way of life....wow..how truly amazing! Then to be able to revisit that era in Photos reminding us that we do have very deep roots binding us so deeply and making us so proud to be a person in this great nation and so very proud to be a American. Especially in these horrific times. The mere fact that we were attacked on our own homeland is a staggering thought on its own. Please take time to love your babies, wife, friends and neighbors as in a New York minute, you could lose the small window of time to have loved someone! |
To those new to my site...sit back..grab your coffee, water or whatever drink of choice and get comfortable. I hope that you enjoy your stay, the photos, and sign my guestbook so that I know you like or dislike the site. Its my first web page and I am on one huge learning curve..but trying..hee hee! If you want to save the photos for desktop wallpaper right click on the photo, save picture as (window users-mac users..sorry..I am not versed in your operating system to tell you how to do it). They are 72dpi which is good for wallpaper but bad for printing. They have to be this small or the page loads so slow that you will leave before you get to see them all. Here you will see a lot of photos that are in the book and or of my family. I take black and whites, scan them then hand color or sepia tone. My hero is of course, Kim Anderson, as he is truly gifted and I wanna be him..hee hee! Since I can't...I try hard to accomplish the same thing via a computer and software. My favorite software is Adobe CS. Tis the only way that I can even begin to come close to my favorite photographers like Kim Anderson and Anne Geddes. I think photographers like them are truly blessed by God and we are lucky to have them in our decade. They truly warm your heart and soul. Who can't use some of that! |
Examples of a photo that was orginally in color and changed to sepia toned to age it with that pretty hue that it gives it. This is me and my precious grandson that was sent straight from heaven to me. Thank You Steve...I love you and wanted to tell you that you make such pretty babies..hee hee! (Steve is my son..Spencer is my Grandson in the photos) |
