| *Saturday 29th December: Hello There, hope you all had a great Xmas break!??!! Well, Christmas Day was pretty quiet, but a family affair here :) It was so nice to see everyone open what I had bought them, and be delighted with it. Santa bought for me; quite a bit of money for my holidays and Sales shopping hehe!, a Ghost: Deep Night perfume set which is lovely!!, also a manicure set, a Healing Garden Mandarin set (i love their stuff!), a fluffy cuddly Tigger :):) Gabrielle's Best of...album, and lots and lots of chocolates :) yummmmmm!! Since then I have done a little sales shopping although I really havent hit the crowds just yet, im waiting for my moment hehe! Got a nice tan coloured suede jacket though! Went out to Mansfield the other night, which was fun, as i havent been down their for ages clubbing :) went to my old haunts aswell as some new bars they have opened (thankfully!!) Had a great time though and I can't wait to be going down again next week :)! Decided to start sorting out my room today, as there stil isnt much space for stuff, I dooooo need to get a large bookcase so I can put all my stuff neatly onto there, but that will take some time to find the right one, so until then i guess i just have to make piles, eeek, not very good feng shui!! Also started thinking about what kind of New Years resolutions to make, where to party New Years Eve, and also what I will be up to next year...... id like to get my future a little bit more sorted, know when i am returning to finish my degree, and in what manner, and what i want to do maybe after i have graduated... where to work, what to work as.....eeek big life decisions, but hopefully there will be a bit more fun, excitement and smiles than there has been this year, its definitely been a tough one for almost everyone, lets hope 2002 is a bit better for us all!!! *Monday 24th December: Its Christmas Eeeeeeeeeeeve :) yey hehehe! Although I don't get as excited about Xmas as I used to, and this year has been a particularly difficult one etc, so it is hard to get ultra excited and giggly about tomorrow (guess it means I am getting old huh?! Heheh!) but i am sooo looking forward to seeing my family open the gifts I have bought for them, and also the great food and good laughs we usually have! I have broken up from work now until the 2nd :) so thats great, I really needed the break and It is only 3weeks until I fly off to sunny Lanzerote for some true relaxation and fun! :) Our last day at work was good fun, we had a raffle, which was a bit low running but I won a bottle of wine hehe, then we all went over the pub at like 1pm and bascially stayed in there until like7pm (oops, I was a little merry hehe) and we had karaoke and allsorts (I was persuaded to take part and sang Kylie with my friend hehe, oh dear :):)!!) but nearly everyone else sang something too, and it was hilarious, and so i had a fun time there :)! Yesterday I visited a local church that my Aunts and Grandpa go to, and they had organised a Nativity Play, so i went to see their production and it was really good, awwwwww little kiddies getting all excited about xmas hehe, it was so sweet!! Then last night my old schoolfriends and I went out for a xmas meal together, which was cool, we spent most of the night chatting and gossiping, which is always good fun! :) I have plans to alter slightly parts of my website, while I have the time off work, lets see how much I get done huh hehe, but bascialy just to make it a bit easier to view and add new content to most of my pages to make a refreshing read and make it a bit easier and quicker to load, so I hope you will all keep checking back to see what changes I have done :)! My dads job is still really uncertain, his best friend who has worked with for years got made redundant last week :( which is just terrible so close to xmas!! It really is disgusting how they are going about doing this, and the way they are treating the workers is both unfair and callous... I just hope my dad will be ok (he wont know until Mid-January!!), and hope those that do/have lost their jobs can quickly find work elsewhere and that it isnt as bad as it sounds for them, although i feel that maybe that is too optimistic :(! But Merry Xmas everyone, and I really do hope that 2002 brings us all a better year!!!! *Saturday 15th December: Today i went with my family to Chatsworth House, a stately home in Derbyshire, a very beautiful place in England.(I love Derbyshire :) I would recommend a visit there for anyone living in or visiting the UK!!) It is such a wonderful place, full of paintings, sculpture, and wonderfully presented rooms, very romantic and historical!! I decided I too would like to be a Duchess and live that life heheh ;)!! (my Duke could be just around the corner, ya never know hehehhee!!) We had a gorgeous lunch in the Farm Pantry there, a little way from the house in the village, well worth a little trip out as the food was amazing!! They usually close the house in October until March but as there has been such a loss of money after the problems with Foot and Mouth here, they have opened up for the first time this xmas, so we can all visit and help them recoup the lost income for the upkeep of the house! Even as we visited there are still restrictions on walking and u have to walk through a mat of disinfectant b4 u enter, as precautions are still in place, but the disease has been controlled. There was so much to take in when we actually got to the house, u have to leave at least 3 hours to truly see everything, maybe longer if you really want to appreciate everything it has to offer aswell as the lovely gardens there. It was also extremely busy so that slowed us down, but it was very enjoyable, i had a great time :):)!!! Had a good week last week at work, everyone is getting into the festive spirit, and sending cards etc hehe so its a good giggle, this week is my last there until after xmas though and we have a party on Friday so im looking forward to that. Think i need to be writing all my xmas cards tomorrow though :) hehhee ;)!! *Monday 10th December: Well writing on a Monday hehe that is a first for a long while, but i figured I should make a diary entry now as its due one, and there is stuff to discuss :) I look a little different now hehe a brand new Gem, I had my haircut at the weekend and its quite shorter now, in a choppy textured style bob, very funky hehe! I am trying to get some decent pics taken 2 show those of you who are interested, but my webcam isnt so excellent (maybe its operator error hehe) and I think they would come out better if i did them in the light but as I work all week I dont get the chance to find any daylight at the moment (hehe its like living in the twilight zone when the days are so short, i miss it all :)!!) Also got loooooads of xmas shopping done at the weekend (yes, i fought my way through xmas crowds lol!) and so thats a relief, now is the fun part, getting to wrap them all up pretty and present them out, awww hehe i like that part :)!! I am actually all signed up permenant at my work, which is a relief, im a proper working lady now, all got a salary and everything hehe :)! Which is some comfort, as my dads job looks even more unstable :(, he should hopefully find out tomorrow where he stands, but we are preparing for the worst, it just feels like it has dragged on for an eternity, and we just wish now we could know for definite one way or another, although i truly believe it will be a while yet before they make up their minds and we know :(... Its terrible to be going through this worry and stress, espcially after we have been through so much already, and its near Christmas :( it really takes the edge off of the festivities, watching every penny and not splashing out as we would like to on one another, still, we know we are not alone, and at least we have each other, i know I am extremely fortunate for that, as many others are facing their first xmas alone without loved ones after the tragic events of this year, whereas no matter what the consequences of it all are for us, at least we are still a family and together, and I am grateful and know I am blessed for that! I hope your xmas plans are all going well, and that we get some cool snow soon :) hehehe!! Take Care! xx *Sunday 2nd December: Two days into my Galaxy advent calender (no, you're never too old! hehe) and Xmas is getting soooooo close :)! I am really starting to think about Xmas presents now and what to get everyone, and I've even already sent of a few cards to my international friends! The past few months seem to have just flown by, it really doesnt feel that long in some respects since the summer! I think it will be next week or the week after when i go late night shopping after work to buy them all though, but i love that hehe, wrapped up all cozy, going around the shops at around 7pm when its dark and all the lights are twinkling hehe, gets me feeling really festive! Another reason for cheer is that I booked my sunshine getaway yesterday! Its official, I am off to Lanzarote for a week in January, and I am sooooo excited! I have been wishing for this break for a long while now! So yeah, there will be a special holiday diary and all my piccies to show off on here when i get back :)! I also won the first round contest in The Rumbles (see my front page for links!) which i am MOST proud of *SMILES!* so now i go on to the next round to contend another site, its all great fun and really nice to get a little back from the effort i put into my site :) Thanks to every one of you that voted for me! Ta!!!! :) *Sunday 25th November: Hi There! Oooooh dear, I have a cold, AGAIN, what is wrong with me...i dunno..i guess my immunse system has taken a knock after the things I have been through lately, grrrr...*sigh* oh well, another weekend resting with my Kleenex and benylin (fun!),oh dear, as u can tell being ill again has left me feeling grumpy hehe, so I am trying to cheer myself up by planning for xmas and what to do New Years Eve, havent a clue yet, but it HAS to be somehting good!! :) Wow, this month has really gone quickly....I hope all my American friends had a good Thanksgiving this week :), and yey only 5weeks til Xmas ;)! Had a family members' funeral at the beginning of this week, which wasnt a great start,especially at this time of year, but it was nice to see the family pull together as we dont get to see too much of one another. Next weekend I am off to book my holiday in the sun, yey! It is fate, i have been dying to get away for a few months now, and in my horoscope this month it says i have to get myself off to sunny shores :), hehe so thats exactly what im going to do!!! :) *Sunday 18th November: Hello! Hope you are all well! Well, I have been busy this week at work, and its been tiring so havent been up to much when i got home apart from checking online to see whats going on, and then vegging infront of the T.V hehe;)! I am temp for 2 more weeks at work but then hopefully all seems certain that i will be signed on permenantly after that, so thats relief, knowing i still have a job for Xmas:)! Yesterday was also a busy day! Mum and I went to Nottingham shopping, i got some xmas cards, and then my friend Lou a black silk jewellery box for her bday! We then went to a lovely Italian restaurant for our dinner, yum! In the evening i got all dressed up (even had my red rose in my hair!) and headed over to Lou's (she LOVED her pressie!Yey!, a minibus took us to the Trent riverside in the city, where a boat was waiting for us! We then cruised the night away down the Trent, with a carvery and a disco afterwards, all while the swans swam beside us under the moonlight (although I think they were more interested in the food than they were with us hehe!) It was a terrific night, and so great to have all my friends there to celebrate Lou's 21st! Its made me think about exactly what I want to do for my 21st in April..hmm..hehe better start planning! Today I am just chilling, doing a few bits online (although I plan to try and make a few cool changes to my site this week!) and i hope to try my hand at a home-made smoothie a bit later, I will let ya know how it goes ;)! Lol! Well little has been happening here, just been trying to design a few calling cards/awards for my site, but meeting difficulty as everything is saving blurry, uugh, well, have to keep trying and see what happens, but keep an eye out for my graphics on here soon:), there are already a few added to the cards available on my greeting cards section, if you want to see my handywork :)!Went shopping yesterday and bought a few CD's (got Dream's album!) and a cool camel fleece scarf and gloves set :) (It has been UNBELIEVABLY cold this week!! It even snowed on Thursday!) Also had my flu injection on Thursday, which was a bit sore but hopefully *crossfingers* means I wont get ill... it better work hehe! Feeling much much better by the way since last weeks cold, fully fit and lively now :)!! * Friday 2nd November: Oh Hello! I am sorry I havent written on here in a while, but its been a crazy week really!! First of all I have been quite poorly as you know but this week it was getting worse, even had to take time off of work, so that really sucks, but i am thankfully feeling better right now so after a weekends rest I should be much better! Also, on Thursday the computer blew up, eeek! The processor just blew out, smoke everywhere, oops! Crappy thing, SOOOOOOO I finally got up the nerve to go out and get my very own PC package, so i am now in MY room with MY very own cool comp and very happy :) hehe! I just couldnt go without adding to my site any longer than necessary! Hehe! Oooooh fireworks are going off over here already in preparation for Bonfire Night (for those of you who don't knowwhat the hell im talking about, check out my Autumn Ideas page for a description on Bonfire Night!)! Also got a cool virtual Plant (that actually grows!!) from Jennie, its based on my front page if you wanna check it out, aww so cute, with a butterfly aswell, my fave! |
