Several years ago the accepted  concept was that a  neutron was composed of a proton and electron. This was discarded in favor of the Quark Concept
HOWEVER, IT CAN EASILY BE SHOWN THAT THE MOWERY QUARK HAS A PRECISE PERIODIC PROGRESSION,  THAT CORRELATES TO MEASURED MeV VALUES.

NEUTRON COMPOSITION IS; PROTON ELECTRON AND NEUTRINO.
Electron .023337142 plus Neutrino .013948984 = .037286126  0r  1.30443777 MeV

Quarks are simply MUONS  WITH MULTIPLES OF NINE " ELECTRON / NEUTRINO UNITS 
SIX MUONS   EXIST IN THE PROTON.
THEREFORE
S1X QUARKS EXIST IN THE PROTON
NEUTRON COMPOSITION

Proton  1.00 atomic mass  equals = = = = = = = = = = =  MeV of 938.27231
