This tutorial was written for PSP 9.
It is a long tutorial but at least
it gives us time to enjoy the

gorgeous hunk :-))))

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Filters
Unlimited

Fm Tile Tools

VDL Adrenaline

 Eye Candy 4000

glitter pattern,
framegerda22,
kersttakkengerda1,
Tube christmasboy,
brush gerdakersttekst6
santahunkgerda1 psp image,
basisvormen psp fun_ strikjes,

Download the gold pattern here

NOTE: Right - click on the zip file.
Choose  the 'Extract to here' - option in
the drop-down menu
to open the file.
DO NOT click directly with the left mouse button on
the downloaded zip file. Lycos will only show
an empty folder if you do that. :))


Step 1
Open  psp image 'santahunkgerda1'
(the selections are in the alpha channel)

Set the foreground color on #ff3521,
background on black.
Change the foreground color to gradient:

Style - linear,
Angle - 45,
Repeats - 3
Invert - unchecked.


Fill the canvas with the gradient.
Adjust --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur - 14

Effects --> Illuminaton Effects --> Sunbursts
color must be black!

Image --> Mirror -->
Image --> Flip

Effects --> Filters--> Fm Tile Tools -->Blend Emboss



Step 2
New layer
Selections--> Load/Save --> Load from Alpha Channel.
Load 'santahunkgerda1'
Fill the selection with white.
Filter Unlimited -->Paper Textures -->Fibrous paper fine -->107/128
Deselect.

Effects --> Filters--> VDL Adrenaline-->Snowscape:


Image --> Resize --> 115%

- 'Resize all layers' should be unchecked!!
Merge layers visible.
Edit --> Copy this layer to save it in the memory.



Step 3
The Christmas balls :)))

New layer
Selections --> Load the 'santahunkgerda2 ' selection

from the Alpha channel
 Edit --> Paste Into Selection
( the background that was in the memory :-)
KEEP SELECTED!

Effects --> Inner Bevel -->
Round /  31, 44/ 3 / -2 / 34 /
Angle 315 / 45 / 30 / color white.

Deselect.

Load the 'santahunkgerda 3'- selection from the Alpha channel
on the same Xmasball layer.
Fill with the color #ff3521.

Effects -->Texture Effects -->Blinds 2/100 color black/

horizontal unchecked / light from above checked.

Repeat the same inner bevel.
Deselect.



Step 5

Foreground on #ff3521
background on black.

Change the foreground to the glitter pattern.
background to gradient:
Style - Sunburst
repeats - 0
Invert - checked
 

Activate the Preset Shape tool - Bow 7 - anti-alias checked,

Retain style - unchecked.

Line width - 1
Draw a bow on the top of the ball.
Lock the bottom layer.

Activate one of the other layers and merge them visible.
Unlock the bottom layer again and highlight it.
We will be building layers from there again.

Activate the Pen Tool.
Make sure the 'Create on Vector' option is checked!


Your foreground color should be on the glitter pattern.
With the Shift key pressed down, draw a line : direction:from the top
edge of the canvas down to the center of the xmasball.
Draw it a little bit below the top of the xmas ball :))

Highlight the bottom layer again (activate it) !!!!

Open the 'kersttakkengerda1'- tube.
Paste as new layer onto the canvas.
Drag it below the top of the Xmas ball.
 

Lock the background layer.

Activate one of the other layers and merge them visible.
Highlight the xmasball layer and duplicate it.

Image --> Resize -- to 95%
'Resize all layers' should not be checked.
Drag it to the top, over the edge of the canvas.
Activate the first xmas ball layer again.
Duplucate and resize to 90%.
Drag it next to the second xmas ball.
It should hang at uneven heights from the top.

It should look like this now:



Lock the bottom layer and merge the others visible.
Apply a drop shadow 10/10/50/5 color black.
Unlock the bottom layer.


Step 6

Now!!

Merry Christmas to you!!
Here comes Santa !!! :-))))

Open the 'christmasboy'- image!!
Lololol


Copy and paste

as a new layer onto the canvas.
Drag him to the bottom so that his

trousers fits against the bottom edge.
Apply a drop shadow 10/10/50/5 color black.

 

Set the foreground

color on the gold pattern

(not the glitter pattern!)

Add a new layer.
Activate the Brush Tool.
Find the ' gerdakersttekst6'
and apply in the top right corner.
Add a drop shadow  0/1/63/0 color black

Merge all layers.
Add a border:



Open the ' framegerda 22'- image.
Copy and paste onto the canvas,
Merge all layers.

!! ~~ Take a coffee break ~~ !!
 

Now proceed to the next level of enjoyment
Lolololol.....

(making the candles)

We will do the candles while enjoying our Santa! :-)
