| Upper Big Lake - Located in Charleston/ Mississippi County MO. Haunted by a fisherman who had drowned in the lake. The submitter of this haunted location tells me that her and her husband was at big lake when the lights on their truck mysteriously turned on when no one was near the truck. |
| Windyville- Located in Dallas County. Several locations are haunted in this small town, Indian Creek is haunted by a woman who walks the creek in search of her child who had drowned by falling into a well.(The child's body was never found) Other places in Windyville that are said to be haunted are, The old tomato canning factory, The Windyville Store, Peppers Cemetery, Lone Rock Cemetery, and several private residences in the area. The caves along the Niangua River in this area are said to be haunted by the Osage Indians. I personally DO NOT recommend anyone going into the caves as they are on private land and are said to be extremely dangerous. |
| Inspiration Point in Branson Mo.- This Mountain overlook , used as a Confederate lookout post during the Civil War, is haunted by the ghost of a Confederate soldier . the apparition was first seen in 1964 during an outdoor play about the Baldknobbers a group of pro-Union vigilantes. | Stephens Collage in Columbia MO.-The ghost of Sarah Wheeler haunts Senior Hall on this campus. Sarah was a student in the old Baptist Female Collage and was living in Senior Hall when she climbed to the bell tower and leaped to her death, the bell cord looped around her neck. Sarah's apparition can be seen every Halloween at midnight in the bell tower. |
