Why has there been a renaissance in popularity for the cheesecake ideal of the 1950s as a modern glamour high (the bettie page look, the growth of cheesecake conventions, the revival of burlesque, etc?

The images of woman in film, art and pin-up from the 1930s and the 1940s were the most elegant of the 20th century.  I love the fashion from many different eras, but I think mid-century found the perfect balance of sexiness and femininity.  I have a significant number of female fans because they appreciate erotica being done in a more elegant manner.  It's the same thing with burlesque, people are tired of the same old strip club experience.  When I started trying to get into men's mags with this style eight years ago, I was told it would never happen.  I stuck with it because I knew there had to be a place for it.

Who are your female icons?

For me, female icons are the sex goddesses that remain timeless and immortal.  Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow, Bettie Page...we never saw them age.  They are always going to be in their prime.

Do you ever experience fetish fatigue?  Now that it's a lucrative career, how do you keep the sence of fun and freshness about it all?

Fetish fatigue, that's a good way to put it.  Just the other day I heard this phrase again: "We have this great idea, we want you dressed like a dominatrix and we'll shoot it in a dungeon!"  Most of the shoots I do now are either my own ideas or are with people who know i've done all the typical fetish scenarios.  I really enjoy working with photographers who shoot anything but fetish, it's more exciting for me and for them.

What's your favorite tease?

Besides the striptease?  I like to tease with a flash of black stocking, it never fails me.

Who would play you in a biopic of your life?

Gene Tierney.

Who do you think is pushing the boundries of fetish and erotic photography?

French photographer Christophe Mourthe creates the ultimate fetish fantasy girls like no one else can.  Chas Cryder's Motel Fetish series is another totally unique style.  I respect photographers who have a specific style and vison.

What detergent would you recommend for washing delicate silk stockings and ropes?

I don't do laundry, my French maid Mimi does it.

Which films, pieces of music, or books have really opened your eyes?

I will always remember my favorite films of the 1940s that I watched when I was a little girl and I love Technicolor musicals and period costume dramas.  The influence for my stage shows and photo shoots come from these types of films.  Reading Anais Nin's Delta of Venus and Georges Bataille's Story of the Eye had a big impact.  I get a lot of inspiration from the reprints of John Willie's Bizarre magazine from the 1940s.

How did you meet Mr Manson and what was the initial attraction?

He stalked me until I surrendered to his devilishly charming advances.

Is your image a semi-cartoon persona or is it the real you?

The old Hollywood-styled photos best reflect my true-to-life look.  I have an extrodinary 1040s wardrobe.  I drive a 1939 Chrysler too.  I like to caryy on the tradition of Hollywood femme fatales who keep up their image off screen.

Hold-ups or stockings?

You have to ask?! I am a devoted seamed stockings anthusiast! Hold ups are for novices!

How do you and Marilyn Manson relax?

We worship satin.  My satin panites, that is.

What's it like being 'the consort of satan' in the eyes of every religious fundamentalist asshole  in the USA?

I feel a bit like Jayne Mansfield, I suppose since she dated Anton La Vey.  The devil has exception taste in woman apparently.

Who wears the trousers around the house?

Let's just say that in my household, you get what you want by wearing stockings and a corset.

What would be your words of advise for young people?

I'm not a role model, i'm a fetish model.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years' time?

There are a lot of things I would enjoy doing.  Maybe i'll have found a protege to pass my craft on to.  Someone has to make good use of my burlesque props and costumes after the fortune I've spent on them.  I don't want to be the norma desmon of fetish, that's for sure!

What turns you on in a person?

A man with a sence of humour and an appreciation for seamed stockings.

And what puts you right off?

A vain man who brags about his money and car.

What makes for a 'well-turned ankie'?

The phrase 'well-turned ankie' was the kind of compliement one would have given a lady pre-1920s to describe her sex appeal! Being a sucker for a well-turned ankie was like having a weakness for a nice pair of gams.  I have a large number of foot fetish fans who truly do appreciate a well-turned ankie, so I guess you can get the answer by having a look at mine!

What's the crucial but elusive difference between looking classy, sexy and seductive (which you do) and trashy, like so many of your imitators?

I think the reason for that are that first of all, although I take inspiration from art, photos and dress and style myself in ten years in the making but also comes from a lifetime of dreaming of being a femme fatale.  I put a lot of effort into the details, little things that my imitators would never bother with in terms of trouble and expence.
