The highlight of being obsessed... |
After nearly a year of obsessing and tracking down Godspellers....I have met the nicest one! I got this e-mail from Gilmer McCormick just today, and she couldn't have been sweeter. Read on! To: GodspellGirl@broadway.com Subject: Dearest Kelly, From: Stephen Reinhardt <> Add to Contacts Date: Sun, Jun 3 2001 7:03:37 AM -0700 I received your lovely letter (which I will save forever) soooo long ago, I'm almost embarrassed to answer it now. Over the last several months I have been out of town twice, and took on a full time job substituting as a teacher for a friend who was no longer able to keep the job. Also, we just celebrated the 30th reunion of the opening of Godspell and "old clowns" came from all over the country to be with us that night. I will send you a program I think you will enjoy. I am SO HAPPY that you found Godspell and that it still has the effect of turning lives around...it certainly did mine. I haven't acted in some time (raising children, you know) but now I'm thinking of getting back in the business now that they are pretty much on their own. We'll see. I have a son who works for Fox Family Television out here, and a daughter who is in her last year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh ( for Drama, naturally). My husband Stephen ( whom I met in Godspell - he was our Music Director for the show and sang the lead in "On the Willows" on the album and in the movie) Now he is the music supervisor for the soap opera "Days of Our Lives", you may have heard of that? Anyway, that is a brief profile of my family, tell me about yours. Please accept my forgiveness again for taking so long to answer you. Keep in touch and if you're ever out this way, we'll "do lunch"! Love Gilmer |
