Actress Bio:
Emily Bergl grew up mainly around the Chicago area. She moved in 1981 with her
family when her father was offered a job in the states. Her education includes a
Phi Beta Kappa BA from Grinnell College in Theater and English, as well as
training at the Eugene O'Neill Center's National Theater Institute. Emily is
also a national champion in Poetry Reading.
Emily's professional career began just a few months after graduating from college when she was cast as an understudy in the Lincoln Center Theater's production of Ah, Wilderness! She has starred in other numerous plays and her first major motion picture was in The Rage: Carrie 2 where she starred as Rachel Lang. While the movie didn't fair too well, many critics agreed Emily's performance was impressive. Emily continues to do theater and other movie roles. She even received a Fany Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut for her portrayal of Alise Capel in The Lion in Winter. Emily isn't a very well known star yet, but her unique look and fantastic acting skills are sure to bring fame in both movies and in theater.
She was nominated for a Saturn Award in 2003 for Best Actress in a Television Series for her role in Taken. She was also nominated for a Saturn Award in 2000 for Best Performance by a Younger Actor/Actress for her role in The Rage: Carrie 2.
Besides Gilmore Girls Emily will be in the new movie Fur in 2006, and she has already been in the following movies and TV shows: Final Draft, Taken, Happy Campers, Chasing Sleep, The Rage: Carrie 2, CSI: Miami, Enterprise, Providence, ER, NYPD Blue, and Wasteland.
Character Bio:
Francie is a school mate of Rory's and Paris'. She tries to be at the top of the
school but realizes Paris is in the way and the way to get to Paris is through
Rory. She soon gets Paris upset at Rory and thinks she completed her mission,
but boy was she ever wrong.
