I am a teacher of English as a Foreign Language at the American University in Cairo. I have been here since 1983, after having taught in the U.S., France, and Puerto Rico. I love my students, as well as the exciting things there are to do in Egypt, such as riding a horse in the moonlight by the Pyramids, and taking a sailboat on the Nile River.
My hobbies are skating, swimming, and reading historical fiction.
My husband is a linguistics professor here, in the master's program for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

My brothers, sisters, parents and other relatives live in the U.S., and we visit them often.
I like teaching with computers, because students can work at their own speed, and can choose to work on whatever they are curious about.

An Egyptian sailboat, called a felucca, is a great way to spend time on the Nile River, especially in the evening at sunset, with friends and a nice meal.
