At the age of 8, John now wanted to learn to play the organ and sing. At this point his parents foresaw an emerging talent and invested more of their time driving him to either a piano, organ or vocal session which was scheduled just about every other day. Studying under professors from DePaul and Saint Xavier Universities, John acquired his first position as the music director of St. Donatus in Blue Island at the age of 13.
As a pianist, organist and vocalist, he has been providing beautiful liturgical music for all types of Catholic Church services during the past 25 years. During that time John has gained great musical knowledge of various organs, developed important organization/communication skills and made wonderful friendships along the way.
Presently, John has been blessed to be the Music Director at Our Lady of Peace Church in Darien, IL for 13 years and counting. He is honored to be able to work with the talented cantors and choirs of this parish. His wife of 8 years and three young children consider this gifted group of people their second family.
John's calling to Music Ministry embraces a desire to provide music that enhances the liturgy. His goal is to uplift people's hearts and minds to God by selecting music that reflects the theme of the service and by adhering to the musical guidelines of the Catholic Church.
Whether the service is a wedding, anniversary or funeral, John can professionally assist families to personalize their event by offering a variety of songs that may have special meaning for them.
