M.A. LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
 
 

• Overnight books will be issued only on overnight cards.
• Overnight Cards are not transferable, others will not be allowed to use the cards.
• Single copy titles are reserved for Hall-reading only and will not be issued for overnight
• Question paper files or any loose material (unaccessioned material) etc. will not be issued out or given for photocopying.
• Only the C.R. or other nominated students are allowed to take the books for outside photocopying.
• Books for photocopying will be issued against I.D. Cards and they are to be entered in the photocopying register properly.
• Text books will be given out for photocopying only with prior permission of the Librarian/Assistant Librarian.
• Books for Hall-reading will be issued against the I.D. Card only.
• No text-book will be issued on borrower’s card for Hall-reading.
• No student will be allowed to use others’ I.D. Card or borrower’s ticket.
• Before leaving the Reading-hall the student should return the books at the counter and should collect their I.D. Cards.
• I.D. Cards, Overnight Cards which are not collected from the counter shall be fined.
• Students who are found handling circulation records shall be punished.
• Students are not supposed to assemble at circulation desk before 6.45 p.m. daily for issuing overnight books.
• Duplicate Readers tickets (Overnight and Weekly) charges Rs.5/- per card.
