We maybe pretty, and at times a little
"ditzy." It's all a cover!
We're not fluff! We are serious gamers!
Whether you're 5 or 105, like to play video/computer games or card/board/minis
games or LARPs/RPGs/LAWGs, war or non-war games, light/medium or heavy
gaming or all of the above -- as long as your female and can honestly
claim that that playing games (the type listed above) is a hobbie of
yours (no matter how many or how few) -- you're welcome to join!
You may be the only girl gamer in your club -- but you are not alone! :-)
This is a list for women/girl gamers/hobbyest who
wish to talk to other women/girl gamers about experiences, have fun
etc. with other girl gamers and who wish to increase the number of women/girl
gamers.
We have differences than male gamers, and issues such as feeling "welcome"
(as Viv so wonderfully put it) and other issues that male gamers don't
feel, have or even recognize .. this group is for us.. may it empower!

"Virginia Woolf once said that to write, a woman would
need among other things, "A Room of one's own." [this] took that idea into online message
board format for female gamers. What drew me was the
comment that 'you might be the only girl gamer in your
group, but you are not alone.'
Even if I hadn't had feelings of being left out in my
own groups, I would have joined.
For anyone to say we need a room of one's own or to
suggest a group for female gamers is not declaring
womynism nor are they 'feminazi's.'
