Flower Pin Cushion ~ Bear Coaster ~ Flower Coaster
We had tons of foam, CDs, and yarn so we decided to let the girls pick which two they wanted to make!  Click here for directions to make your own!

Glitter Bracelet
We must admit not all of our tubing was leftover, but these were just too cute to pass up!  Directions to make your own can be found in FamilyFun TV's video archive.

Confetti Globe
This is a fun twist on snow globes and a great way to reuse confetti left over from parties, baby showers, holidays, etc!  Click here for directions to make your own!  Could be used as a companion activity for the Colors and Shapes Try-it (Brownie) and Badge (Junior).

Fake Leather Jar*
Ms. Sherry remembers making these way back when she was a Scout. Simply cover a babyfood jar with masking tape. Water down brown acrylic paint and brush on. Once the paint dries it looks like fake leather. You may need to paint the jar more than once depending on the "tone" you're looking for. This is a nice substitute for clay pots when learning about Native Americans. It's very easy to draw designs or Native American symbols on these jars with Sharpie markers or Puffy Paints. *Did not make at event due to laytex allergies.

Jewel Jar*
A babyfood jar, scraps of tissue paper, fabric, and jewels. Simply water down Elmer's glue and brush onto the babyfood jar a little at a time (the cheap dollar store paintbrushes work great) covering with tissue paper as you go. You may need to reapply glue mixture lightly on top of the tissue paper to ensure it adheres to the jar. Once the tissue paper has dried, attach small jewels around the jar. We made the lid cover from scraps of fabric cut with pinking shears and secured with a rubberband. *Alternate activity for fake leather jar.

Bulletin Bag
Hang it on your door, your bulletin board, or your bed post. A used gift bag, ribbon scraps, a cd, an old corkboard, and a few office supplies make a wonderful catch all for your Scouts things.   Click here for directions to make your own!

CD Dream Catcher
CD, yarn, and pony beads.   Click here for directions to make your own!
