I had a dream of you
Waking up a smile was all I could do
In my dream, you and I were together
Holding me tight, wishing this moment would last forever
You made my heart race
When was I inches away from your face
Which made me smile,
But that lasted only a for a while
In my head, you were reaching for my hand,
And to reach back, I was doing everything I can
And so, our hands finally touch
It made me feel like you cared for me so much
In my dream, you made me feel loved
Now I wonder if this dream was sent from above,
But my dream had to finally end,
And I became again, just your friend
I won't sigh; I'll just let it be
And keep to myself how much you mean to me,
But I'll do anything I can do
For you to look at me the way I look at you
You might not understand exactly,
But hopefully you understand eventually
And even if you don't
I won't cry, no, I won't
Because if you and I weren't meant to be ,
I will always have the dream of you and me
