Here are some of the features of the Morry Hummel 1/2 VW engine. |

|
The case is cut in half and the cylinder holes welded up, with a plate attached to allow the mounting of the magneto.The rear portion of the crank has been modified to accomodate the mag drive. |

|
The air filter box is made from the drawings on the hummel plans. This will have coarse screening on both sides of the filter element to prevent loss of the filter and also prevent the filter being sucked into the carb. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
Soft aluminum tubing is carefully wrapped around the "Y" intake tube. This allows to cool the engine oil and also acts as a prewarmer for the fuel/air mixture coming from the carburator going to the intake side of the cylinders. |

|
The carburator is an up-draft type made by Zenith. These carbs can still be bought out of the J.C. Whitney catalog, (look under "Model-T parts"), or can be bought at a Ford tractor dealer due to the fact that these are the type used on the "Red-Belly" Ford Tractors. |

|
The Fairbanks-Morse Magneto provides the necessary spark to the plugs to complete the Firing Process. |
