About Me
Good Morning,
Afternoon, Evening or Night, ye by passer. Welcome to HerenIstarion, the really
tiny corner of the web belonging to myself, that is, George Lashkhi,
a.k.a (guess what? yes, the selfsame) HerenIstarion. What is the purpose of
the web site? Well, not a great goal here – a must do nowadays, to have
a web site, so I do have one. And, having one, why not make a bit of PR
promotion to oneself? And if you feel it’s “very fine morning for
a pipe of tobacco out of doors, into the bargain” than “sit down
and have a fill of mine! There's no hurry, we have all the day before
us!” And if you need
something translated (Georgian-Russian-English, any direction), contact
me and so we can talk over the details. If you are after
Tolkien, see articles or maybe poems
too. And links, of course. And I also enjoy
racing. Not that I race myself – nay, I drive in most civil manner
possible down where I live, stopping on red lights (within the lines too) and
having my belt fastened, always. But I enjoy watching, commenting upon and
gaming. For the latter, see BAT Racing J |

Find out for yourself Come on in, you won’t regret it :) |
Poems I’ve started
writing those as far back as 1996. It begun (that’s the right guess)
with Tolkien. I tried my teeth on translating his poems into Georgian, and
found that I’m bad at it. Down below there is a selection of what I
find my best. Even if you find it pathetic, I try harder ;). Besides, second
link will bring to your attention another feat of mine - ReVerse - i.e.
Tolkien poems turned "inside out". You're just a click away from
finding what's it all about: |

Drawings
I do (or rather, I did, some years back) draw
sometimes. Well, the most recent venture (on purpose, apart from scribbling on
the odd papers while talking over the phone) into the world of arts occurred
quite a while ago, but nevertheless. Still more,
usual inspiration source here as well as in poems (and articles at that) -
J.R.R.Tolkien The most bulk of those are made as illustrations to
J.R.R.Tolkien’s works. There are much more than listed here, but the
rest is not scanned. So, hope you enjoy what is left here |

Links
This sub page contains the links and short description
of places I find most attractive on the web. So, enjoy them with me, there is a good lad/lass: APF
- Annotated Pratchett File. Ever enjoyed Terry’s books? Find
things which were a bit unclear explained to you in an easy and yet erudite
way The Barrow Downs - The best there is about Tolkien. Profound
discussion on the Forum, it’s own IRC channel for those preferring to
chat, fan-fiction, RPG, contests etc. Tolkien.ru - Never read anything by the Professor?
Fill up the gap. Note: site is in Russian, but there is an English page
present as well batracer.com – I enjoy it immensely. You don’t drive per se, but you have to put your brain to work, calculating setups, accounting for weather and the like. It says fun and addictive on its front page. Indeed, it is fun. And an addict is me last.fm - Just joined, seems a good thing - social musical network. All you do is just what you always did - listen to your favourite music, whilst the last.fm software collects data about your preferences and provides recommendations as to what may be to your liking based on your previously exhibited taste. All the statistics provided are a curious thing to take a look at too, like you weekly top artist, overall top track and so forth and so on. Here, take a look at my 'overall top artists' (new data added weekly):
