Real name: Mary Angela Barnett One of the most notorious groupies, Angie was the former wife of David Bowie. Educated in America, Switzerland and Kingston Polytechnic (UK) met Bowie in 1969, they married in March 1970. Angie grew up in the US, where she attended Connecticut College For Women until she was expelled for having a lesbian affair with another student. Mother to Zowie Bowie, born 30 May 1971; and Stasha (with Drew Blood), born 1980.

Bebe Buell Born: 1953 (Virginia, US) Former Playboy model, dated several rock stars in the '70s. When she was only 17 she moved from Virginia to New York City where she met rock star Todd Rundgren, moved in with him and lived together for six years. They had an open relationship. In 1977, Liv was born and Todd was named as the father, several years later Liv would know the truth.

Real name: Kathy Dorritie Considered to be one of the most famous glam-rock groupies, became one of the first DJ's of the late 60's club scene. She also worked with Andy Warhol in various plays. While Cherry was doing "Pork" (a play by Andy Warhol) in London, she met David And Angie Bowie and began an affair. She was named David's publicist and was one of the main people responsible for launching David's career in America. In the late 70's, after she was fired by David, Cherry released two albums: "Bad Girl" (1978) and "Venus D'Vinyl" (1979).

Real name: Kathleen Hetzekian Grown up in an abusive household, Cyrinda left home before she graduated from high school. She became an actress and worked with Andy Warhol, both in cinema and in plays. She had an affair with David Bowie, got pregnant and had an abortion. Worked with David Bowie as a Marilyn Monroe look-alike and appeared in "The Jean Genie" video (1972). Mick Rock states that she was a heavy influence on him during the first US Tour with Bowie wearing her clothes, imitating her makeup and incorporating some of her gestures in his stage act. In 1977, she married David Johansen, frontman for the New York Dolls. She left him one year later and married Steven Tyler. They had a daughter, Mia, born in 1978. Cyrinda and Steven divorced in 1987.

Real name: Sable Shields A notorious groupie, by the time she was 14 Sable's groupie conquests included members of Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, Mott the Hoople, and David Bowie. Sable's sister, Corel, was also an important groupie. In 1973, Sable met and fell in love with Johnny Thunders, lead guitarist for glam band the New York Dolls. Sable and Johnny's affair was intense, but troubled. At the time they got together, Sable was 15 and Johnny was 21.
