PEN PICS

Mary Jo Walls "M.J." (Captain): Midfield/Forward - An Inspirational natural leader, a most complete player who wears the jersey with enormous pride and looks after the rest of the team. Mary Jo never ever gives up, plays right to the very end. A role model for all.

Bronagh Bradley "B.B.": Forward - Thankfully back to her best and scoring aat will. B.B. has had to work hard at her game, a battle which she has overcome with flying colours. B.B. has all the ingredients of a great player and is now starting to reap the rewards of her dedication.

Breigeen Cassidy "Safe Hands": Goalkeeper - Excellent, determined, reliable, ambitioous and a leader are just some of the many qualities to describe Breigeen, who’s first to training every night. Best keeper in the County and fully deserves her Derry #1 jersey.

Briege Convery "Beaver": Defence - A player of many qualities, Briege has aadapted herself very well this season. Having undertaken so many commitments, she has still made an outstanding contribution to the team this season.

Kathy Conway "Wee Kath": Forward - Words can’t describe Kathy, by far the mmost complete
athlete. Still only 16 Kathy has a wealth of experience both at club and county level and strikes fear into opposing defences. Being one of the youngest "Wee Kath" is well looked after and time is on her side to realistically set her sights for an All-Star which she would truly deserve.

Clare Devlin "C.D.": Defence - Better known as "CD", and for her no nonsense attitude to football. Always keen to learn and never misses a training as she afraid of missing out on the craic. CD is the perfect role model for any up and coming player both on and off the pitch.

Madonna Donnelly " Jaffa ": Forward - Potentially a match winner when on top form. Playing the best football of her career at the minute but with much more still to come, should go on to bigger and better performances and will not disappoint in her desire to succeed.

Sinead Graham "Grahmer": Defence - like a fine wine; matures with age. In only her
second season playing Sinead plays like a seasoned campaigner who is always looking to improve her game. Deserves all credit thrown her way and is now part of the backbone of the team.

Carole Kearney "Ging": Forward - A versatile player, Carole is no stranger to playing up front or in goals, with her commitment never being in question. She is an important team member to Glen as she is reliable and dedicated. Carole’s drive for perfection will no doubt bring her medals in the near future.

Clare Lagan "Legan": Defense - Miss reliable; two words which sum Clare up. A
versatile player with outstanding ability and commitment, with a willingness to take on any role in the team. A most consistent performer that anyone would take their HAT off to!

Donna Letters "Big D"/"Dyson": Defence - Probably one of the quietest girls in the team, says nothing and gets on with the job in hand and lets her football do the talking - apart from her famous war cry "C’mon ta f**k girls!".

Michelle McAteer: Forward - The most under-rated player in Derry . Gets through an enormous amount of work on the pitch and still has a smile after. Always keen to learn and is a real star for the future.

Kathy Madden: Defence - A most determined player with a heart off a lion who only knows 100%. A young girl with a great willingness to learn the game, and no doubt will take herself to greater heights.

Ursula Mullan "Fred"/"Urs" (Vice-captain): Midfield - The mummy of the team. A most skilful player with a never say die attitude both on the pitch and in the changing rooms. In probably the form of her life she still has time to inspire the rest of the team to the height of her own aspirations. Truly deserves to be a winner.

Terri O’Connor "Wee Terri": Defence - The new comer to the team, known as &quoot;Wee Terri" for some reason, has come on leaps and bounds and already has a reputation of a tight marker within the team. Another girl who has a bright future ahead.

Nuala O’Hagan "Nuls": Defence - Another girl with a mountain of commitmeents, but has given all to the cause of Glen. At 19 and playing in her 7th season is testament to her commitment and experience. An excellent player who deserves to succeed in life.

Stephanie Taylor: Defence - Joined the team for the start of the 2002 season, a bit quiet at the start, but it wasn't long before we seen Big Steph's true colours - personality wise that is!  A great character who has brought a lot of spirit and craic into the team!  Yeeeeeooooh!  Developing as a player constantly and constantly improving her game and skills.  A lot more to offer in 2003 no doubt.
