Welcome to Bow Wow Rescue . We are a husband and wife operation, here to rescue primarily Chow Chows who are friendly and fun loving in addition we also rescue other dog breeds that have lost their chance to show how they can love. We want to give these wonderful animals a second chance at life by finding a loving and caring homes for them.

Check out our special group of friends looking for that special someone or family who wants to love and care for them. Our only requirement is that you love and care for these precious dogs. Our adoption fee is $75.00 for mix breeds and $100.00 for pure breed dogs.

Tammi is approx. 8 month old female Chow mix. She was found wandering the streets of Austin as a stray looking for a family to love. She is very friendly and is very playful. Tammi gets along with dogs and children. Tammi is up to date on all shots and is heartworm negative.

Molly is approx. 7mo old spayed female Chow/Border Collie mix, was found as an injured stray in the Austin area, with no one to love. It seems as thought Molly was possibly hit by a car a dragged. She has a wounded left front leg that our Vet says will heal very well but will have a scar and doesn't seem to slow her down much at all. She has lots of love and energy to give and is patiently waiting for the right family or person to come along. Molly is good with children and gets along well with some dogs but would probably be better in a one dog family. Molly is up to date on all shots and is heartworm negative.

Sunny is a 2 year old male Chow, was attacked before being turned into a nearby shelter. His mane was shaved to treat the wounds he received. Don't let the attack sway you because it hasn't swayed Sunny, his disposition is as gentle as can be towards people. He doesn't always get along with other dogs, so he would be best in a home as a single dog or a companion to a female. Sunny gets along well with other female dogs and is tolerable of male dogs when their behavior is acceptable. Sunny is up to date on all shots and is heartworm negative.

Bow Wow Rescue wants to express it's sympathy to those who have lost loved ones on 9/11/01. We support Our President and want to remind our friends and countryment to remain strong and keep the faith.

Do you remember what family really is? Since the unfortunate events of 9/11/01, family as a whole has become stronger in our desire to maintain our freedom for ourselves and our family. Family is not just born relatives but also our friends are our family. I have a very special friend who has a painful hole that cannot be healed since her cousin has been missing for several years. Her family has searched and never stopped and is now asking for all of their family of friends for help.

Johnny is a 10 month old neutered chow mix. He was found in a backyard with his sister Susie with no one to love. They were neglected and set aside. Johnny is a very sweet and cuddly fellow who gets along well with the other dogs. Johnny also loves children. He is up to date on all shots and is heartworm negative. He is waiting to find his new best friend and light up your life.

Trivette is a 10 month old neutered Yellow Lab mix who is such a sweetheart. His adoptive family were not able to handle the size he and his brother Walker have become. They were so young when adopted it was hard to tell how big and strong they would become. Trivette is very friendly and also is cautious of strangers in a home environment. He will melt your heart and fill your life with joy. He needs a big yard and someone to take him for long walks. Trivette is up to date on all shots and is HW negative. He is waiting to find his new best friend to love and share his life with.

ADOPTION DAYS
To see our special dogs looking for homes, come to our adoption days. These dogs can be seen at PETCO at Lakeline on the 1st Saturday of each month or PETCO on Brodie Lane on the 4th Saturday of every month.

Walker is a 10 mo. old neutered Yellow Lab mix who is a big sweetie. Hi adoptive family was not able to handle the size his or his brother Trivette had become. Walker gets along with some dogs and would be best in a one dog family. He also gets along with children and adults. He loves to run and play and get his ears and belly scratched. Walker is up to date on all shots and is HW negative. He is waiting for the right family or person to find him.
