This particular writing appears to have some sort of personal meaning, though it was merely inspired by looking at blades of grass while on a camping trip - it was part of a creative writing exercise where you place an object in the middle of the table and each person has 5 minutes to write whatever comes to mind about that object - some people write specifically about that object, others may use qualities about the object such as it's color or other characteristics in a writing that could actually be about something else - well....you'll see what I mean.....and if you haven't tried one of these exercises it's a fun group activity for the creatively inclined
How I envy your arresting presence
I wish I could be more like you
So full of life
with so much to give
Yet somehow I am
Beneath everyone
Trampled upon
Used
And abused
If only I could cut you down
In some way control you
And make you more like me
Grass
