"I've been wanting to get my tongue pierced since i turned 16... and since my parents didn't approve of me putting another hole in my head, i patiently waited my 18th birthday. Finally, the day came...i called my friend and said are you ready to go? She hurried over to my house we got in my car and headed to Jeff's tattoo and body piercing. I dont think i've ever been so nervous in my life...the drive there seemed to take forever! but just when i thought i couldn't get any more nervous, we arrived at Jeff's. My stomach was turning, and i felt like i was going to throw up. But thinking to myself....i have to go through with it, i already told everyone i was going to do it....i sat patiently in the big leather chair, filled out my papers and awaited my turn. I talked to a couple people that were there...not knowing what they were in for....one was to get her navel ring changed, and the other to get her nose pierced. The on ice for abot 4 hours...i was actually able to eat that day....(some doughnuts)...i woke up the next morning and it wasn't sore at all....it was starting to swell a little so i sucked on ice some more...other than that..it hasn't swelled since...and everythign is going great! it is well worth all of the nervousness that i went through! i'm glad i decided to go through with it!" ~KiraK26960 "Well, like I said in my past story...I wanted to get my tongue pierced. I finally got up enough guts to get it done, and if I would've known it was so painless, I would've went the second I got all the facts down about the piercing. I got it pierced yesterday, September 3, 2002 at about 5:40, about 15 hours have passed by and I've eaten an ice pop and some applesauce. It's so confusing, sometimes I can't tell whats food and whats the barbell. But the whole procedure for the piercing was simple and the guy who pierced me was very nice, and really down to earth, so that calmed me down quite a bit. First he dried my tongue and marked a spot with a marker. I looked in the mirror and the spot looked good, not to far to the front, not to far back. Then he clamped my tongue (at this point I was having doubts about it, but I knew I had come this far so I didn't chicken out). After he clamped my tongue he pe needles and clamps, and they know what they are doing, they make it as quick as possible and pretty painless, so go for it!!!" ~Kit1030 "I went with my momto get my belly button pierced cuz she wanted hers done too and thought they were so cute. My dad wouldnt let us so we said we were going to get a class ring. When he pierced it(normal procedure, it bled alot! I cant remember the pain as really bad, but for the next few weeks it was really sore. A few monthes later, I went back to have the ring changed, and the girl told me I had been pierced with an 18 gauge! she had to stretch the hole and that hurt worse than getting it pierced, so now its a 16 gauge. I cant find cute rings for it since most are 14 gauges. so my advice for anyone: get a 14 gauge!! I've had it for almost a year and a half now. and soon my mom will get hers done!" ~blondestbecca "I WANTED A BELLY BUTTON (NAVEL) RING FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS. MY MOM'S FRIEND'S DAUGHTERS BOTH HAD THEIR NAVELS PIERCED AND I COMPLAINED TO MY MOM ARGUEING "LOOK AT THEIRS!!! WHAT IT SO BAD ABOUT IT? IF I TAKE CARE OF IT THEN IT WONT GET INFECTED" WHEN I WAS TURNING 15 I WAS GRADUATING FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL AND WAS GOING INTO THE HIGH SCHOOL SO I ASKED MY PARENTS FOR IT FOR MY GRADUATION PRESENT AND THEY FINALLY AGREED TO LET ME GET IT PIERCED. I WAS SO EXCITED BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG TO GET IT DONE AND I FELT SPECIAL BECAUSE ALL MY FRIENDS PARENTS WOULDNT EVEN LET THEM THINK ABOUT GETTING A BELLY BUTTON RING AND I WAS ACTUALLY GETTING ONE!!!....WELL I REMEMBER THE DAY I WENT TO GET IT PIERCED...IT WAS jUNE 16TH....(A MONTH BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY) I WAS HANGING OUY WITH MY FRIEND LAUREN AND MY MOM DECIDED TO TAKE ME....I GET EITHER MY EYEBROW OR TONGUE PIERCED BUT I AM STILL TRYING TO CONVINCE MY PARENTS INTO LETTING ME DO THAT WHICH HOPEFULLY WONT TAKE THAT LONG! AND FOR ANYONE THAT IS GETTING SOMETHING PEIRCED GOOD LUCK!" ~Courtney |
