What they plotting any how?

McDonalds workers, across the UK, Continental Europe, Russia, North America and Australasia, will take direct action against our employers.  We may see some strikes, but definitely sabotage, go slows, partial walk outs, 'phone in sick days', etc.  It will be the first ever co-ordinated, international, worker led mobilisation by the McDonalds workforce.  October 16th was chosen because since the mid 1980s it has been the date of world anti-McDonalds day.  So, simultaneous to our actions, people who do not work for McDonalds but are opposed to its labour practices, cruelty to animals and destructive environmental impact, will also be engaged in actions at McDonalds restaurants all over the world.  We hope that all actions can be mutually supportive. So far we have heard of plans to strike, phone in sick, work slow, deforst food, block plumbing and much more.  Please let us know (roughly) what you are planning so we can get a better idea.  So far we know of worker based actions planned in Australia, several actions in the UK, larger scale actions in France, Italy and Russia and plans have also been laid in the USA and Canada.  Additionally, all over the world, there will be a couple of hundred pickets and protests focusing in the crimes of the McEmpire against the environment, against animals, against children... and workers.  In Glasgow the plan is to shut down a store for a time at least, then in the evening there will be a wee party for peopl who have been involved with GMWR over the years (if any of them are still at liberty!) We know of an English store where workers, with trade union support, will walk off their shifts after a few minutes and get a free breakfast into the bargain! A large event is planned in Milan, with a live link to events in the UK... The McStrike!
