This country is so misunderstood.  To most people it is the land of sex tourism and Full Moon parties.  There is so much more.  It takes so little effort to get off the main touristed streets yet not many seem to make the effort. Often you can be at the most touristed sight in a city, walk to the next street over and find people staring at you as if you we're the only non-Thai to ever walk down their street. You find in Thailand what you want to find.  If you open your mind and take this place for what it REALLY is you will never have a better experience in your life.
To us it is the land of Buddhas, friendly people and amazing food.

If you like spicy food this is THE place.  And although we are vegetarians we've heard from reliable sources that the seafood is also out of this world

The friendly women at May Kai Dee's vegeterian restaurant on a lesser known alley near Thanon Khao Sarn.  Sadly many imitators have sprung up to capitalise on their hard earned success (as close as next door!).  Go to the original.  The green curry and som tam are sinful and the Black sticky Rice with Mango is to die for!!
