    Information on breast cancer:
  • Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women,
    other than skin cancer

  • In the United States, 1 out of 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.

  • There are more than two million breast cancer survivors in America today.

  • Most women who are diagnosed with breast cancer survive.
    If detected early, breast cancer has a five-year survival rate of over 95%.
  • Men can develop breast cancer too although its incidence is low.

  • Breast cancer incidence increases with age and rises sharply after age 40.
